Here are some links to people who are our friends, organizations we believe in and trust, and generally good things. There is no need to list bad things here.
Wood-N-Strings - Townsend, Tennessee - Mike Clemmer and his wife Connie run this special and unique store selling mountain dulcimers and other traditional mountain istruments. They also sell the Rainsong Guitar we use in our shows. They are good, good people and friends.
Lost Mill String Band - We met Jerry and Joan Paul outside the Alewine Pottery store on the Artist Loop Road just outside of Gatlinburg. They are based out of East Tennessee, and proudly represent the unique “American Roots” string band music of the great Appalachian mountain culture. They play most days at the Alewine Pottery, but they can be found at festivals and other venues too. Be sure to check out their calendar if you are going to be in East Tennessee.
Mystic River - The best duo (they sound like a complete band because they are!). Taylor and Key became our friends a couple of years ago when we started listening to their music at Floyd's Diner in High Springs, Florida. Since then, Taylor has become our professional coach. He's never less than candid and we trust him. Visit their website as a friend of ours.
Cross Brand Cowboy Church- We are very much a part of Cross Brand Cowboy Church. We meet on Thursday nights at Williston Horseman's Park south of Williston, Florida off of Highway 41. Come worship, celebrate and fellowship with us and the gang! And of course there is a lot of singin'!
BluegrassGospelSing.com - Visit Mike and Mary Robinson and learn about their Christian ministry to the bluegrass community up and down the eastern coast. Look them up in person at most bluegrass festivals. They will be leading a gospel sing and jam on Sunday mornings, and in many cases, Mike will be emcee at the show.
Lou's Little Ponderosa - Lou Cartwright (yes it is Cartwright) invites friends to come share their music with him and others. Its a nice place to play, sing, relax and enjoy fellowship with musicians.
Horses Helping People - These people do some great work with kids and horses.
Steve Kaufman's Acoustic Kamp - This is an amazing, week-long music camp. We've been three times now and we're planning on it being an annual event for us. If you've ever wanted to learn an instrument, or play the one you have little better, or just visit with a group of people from all over the world, consider experiencing this place for yourself. Kampers are identifiable by our silly grins. Just ask (me - Diana) about Kamp if you want to see that silly grin for yourself.
Disciples Cross - Make these wonderful horseshoe nail crosses for fun and profit.
